Release - November 27th 2006

Hot Ovaltine before bedtime! The static brothers haven’t been this excited in a while. Well certainly not since the 40th anniversary 'lamb lies down' tour rumours. SEFA, Serafine Steer dropped her demo through the van's post box after a myspace handshake. Woha! and what a doozy it is. Two tracks of harp-led beauty. Playing that intrigues with its melodramatic scope and words that appear to have been beamed direct from Superman’s alternative bizzaro world. A world where John Humphries isn’t a Radio 4 newsreader but a psych freak DJ spinning tunes at the Green Man festival.

Kooky is a phrase over-used for female artists with original voices, but there is a connection here with such fellow musical visionaries as Bat For Lashes, CocoRosie, Joanna Newsom, Bjork and even the Flying Lizards.

Initial interest from 5 burned cds has been well frenzied with gigs booked, and plays on Radio 3 'Mixing It' and Radio One.

So what more could be worth mentioning. Oh, it's recorded and produced by Mike Lindsay, he of label favourites Tunng.
